Like many entrepreneurs, he came to it through a different path — building experience across other areas of business before a realisation changed everything.

Standing on the dunes of the Viana Desert one afternoon, watching visitors from across Europe experience Boa Vista for the very first time, Ravi saw what so many of them were missing.

Without a local guide, without the knowledge, they were passing through a world they couldn't fully see.

That moment was the beginning of Ralopes — a transport and tourism company built from the ground up to give visitors real access to the island Ravi had grown up on.

Not a resort excursion desk. Not a package-tour operation.

When we stop for lunch, it's at local restaurants, not resort chains. When you buy a souvenir, it's from village artisans. Tourism should benefit the whole island, not just a few.
